Following the development of comprehensive brand guidelines for Edina Public Schools, one of the first district-wide applications focused on enrollment for the 2026–27 school year.
To support this effort, I created a suite of materials promoting kindergarten and general enrollment, designed to inform, engage, and connect with families entering our district.
Enrollment
Guide
I designed a kindergarten enrollment guide, mailed to eligible families in the district. The guide focused on clear, accessible information to help families navigate the process, while also capturing the excitement of starting a child’s academic journey.
Social
Recognizing that today’s parents are highly engaged on social media, I expanded beyond traditional, often low-performing, event graphics to focus on storytelling. I collaborated with our afterschool care program and partnered with families to feature students in “the cutest school tour ever,” a short-form reel showcasing one of our elementary schools through the eyes of current kindergarteners.
The result was a more effective, student-centered approach to promoting enrollment events, driving higher social engagement than in previous school years.
Poster
Design
To extend the campaign, I designed a poster promoting the district’s kindergarten information nights. These were distributed across district schools and popular local businesses to reach both new families and those already connected to the district.
Web
Redesign
I also redesigned the enrollment section of the district website to improve the overall user experience. The updated pages streamlined the enrollment process, improved accessibility, and balanced practical information with storytelling, highlighting student experiences and district strengths to engage our incoming families.
